I went to a funeral today for someone that lost her son on Wednesday. He called her on Tuesday asking where she was because he was coming over to mow her lawn. Then later that night he was taken to the hospital by a friend because of seizures and then the next day in the morning his heart stopped.

He was 33.

Paul Newman was 83. Fifty more years. He lived a full life that was littered with positive things...such as wife and kids and a great career as well as great causes.

The sadness for his death is reasonable for all but one should be amazed that he lived to 83. That's a really long time on top of being sick towards the end. He was, apparently, a fighter not only for his life but for those lives he did not know but cared about.

It is always sad to lose someone but remembering them and what they stood for and continuing their causes will make them continue to live on in a way that they could be and would be proud of.

One of a few that realized a long time ago that one has to be his brothers keeper and lived along those tenets. He would be greatly missed step lightly 'old Roger'.

RIP, Paul. I will forever see his smile as Butch Cassidy. One of the truly great men of our times. He will be missed by many.

What a great guy with a great life that did great things, he will be remembered for a long time to come. RIP Paul Newman.

That is extremely sad. But I'm glad that he left his money to charity! Good for him!

Being an Aries type myself, this man has been an
inspiration and a personal Hero all my life.And he is still my Hero. Because he's only physicaly deceased which is anything but dead. Just a whole lot harder to to talk to. I'll 2nd that emotion,Paul Newman is one of the most noble and honorable souls ever to have graced this Earth.Heaven will be receiving a most kind
and gentle soul today because they will be re-receiving one of their own.The Sun is exalted in Aries. Parting is such sorrow, not sweet at all for those of us left behind. However, trying to find some consolation for the loss of someone we really loved, it helps to consider that not only the priceless performances but the charitable organizations he left us will cause us to lift up his name in all honor and praise, forever. Condolences to his friends and family, who were blessed to have gone through life with such a man

For all the wonderful things that he has accomplished as an actor, philanthropist and humanitarian I am most impressed with his successful marriage to Joanne Woodward. He seemed to rise above the "hey look at me save the world mentality" and truly evolve to a level of consciousness that few ever reach.

He cared not only about the about the world around him, but the people living in it. He got it, few of us ever do.

RIP Mr. Newman thanks for the movies, the memories and for the shining example of living a full and dignified life. Salute!

I cannot even imagine the kind of pain and anguish his family must be under right now. What a remarkable human being. He left this world a little better than when he came in, which is what every human being should strive to do. My condolences to all of his loved ones.

I seen this on the news, the man done allot of good for people and charity's that help them... I am going to go and watch some of is films tonight.

Paul Newman was one of my influences on becoming an actor. It is always a sad day when a very influential person dies. Paul...you will be missed. But we still have your great achievements on film to remember you by.

One of the greatest Actors of all time, but also one of the most honorable and noble human beings to ever grace the earth. He will be truly missed, but heaven is receiving a kind soul today.

Mr. Newman was the actor's Actor! Throughout his whole career he kept true to his craft and made no apologies trying things outside the box.

What a legacy of caring and giving Mr. Newman left when he departed this earth.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Paul Newman. He was a wonderful man. Yes, he was a fascinating actor. But what I will remember most about him is his generosity of self, time and money. It doesn't surprise me that he left so much to charity. Even in death he is a blessing to those in need. God bless his family and friends as they grieve his passing. May they also celebrate his life.

I met his family about ten years ago, truly beautiful people...Rest In Peace Paul, you will be missed. Thanks for being there for Johns Mom... My condolences out to the family...

Paul Newman was a man to emulate and a man who commanded respect. He has been a true leader is showing millions of Americans how one can lead a life full of commitment to causes he believes in. He brought us joy in film, in his dedication to making this earth a better place. His is an enduring legacy of caring and fighting for what he believed in.
