According to frequent Wachowski-worker, James McTeigue (V For Vendetta) said at the Berlin Film Festival, that Warner Bros had approached the Matrix-making brothers about the possibility of them directing the next stage of the Superman franchise, a new trilogy of films.
There's no confirmations as yet, but reports say that they are considering it.
I have three questions....
a) Could the Wachowski bros do a new Superman film well?
b) Do we really need another Superman film?
c) Can anything ever live up to the original Superman?

They royaly screwed up the Matrix 2 and 3 so why should they do a better job with this?

I have three answers...
a) Absolutely, they could do a new Superman film well. Haven't you seen The Matrix and Speed Racer?
b) No, we don't really need another Superman. But we don't really need any movie at all.
c) Nothing will ever live up to original Superman. But does it really matter? I wouldn't compare a 30 year old action movie with one done today anyway.

If there is one thing I've learned about that Wachowskis is that you should never let them do any more then a single film in a series, EVER.

I'm sceptical. The Matrix started so well but by the third I was kinda glad it was over.

c) Really that's a question? For it's time it was great, but there is a whole new palette of movie creation tools out there.

After the perfect adaptation that was Speed Racer, they should get the rights to make any cartoon/comic adaptation.

Well... if it's anything like the Matrix Trilogy the first one will be great and the next two will be so-so.
At least we know the special effects will be groundbreaking! If there's one thing they know it's SFX! Or at least going by what they did with the Matrix...

Yes we need another Superman. The last one sucked ballz. They need to do the Doomsday (Superman's death) story.

Hopefully the Wachowskis are smart enough to know that a superman movie without big blue throwing a single punch is BORING! Seriously that last Superman movie was the most expensive homoerotic weightlifting film that I’ve ever seen.
