His research has uncovered that there were many British pilots involved in the Top Gun-style programme at Miramar airbase in California - the same academy that inspired the classic film.

So many questions answered .... but one still bugs me; was beach volleyball a mandatory part of the training programme?

If only the Government would invest more money in our already shit-hot military...we have so much potential but fail to meet it by ill equipping our forces. Say what you want about the war, but they decided to sign up whatever the circumstances, and they're sent out with crap equipment and really need more investment.
