The events of last August in South Ossetia dominated world news, and now they've made it to the big screen for the first time.
The ‘Olympius Inferno’ movie tells a story of a young scientist searching for a unique butterfly he hopes to film. Instead, he ends up shooting pictures of a very different kind – the first scenes of Georgia’s military action against South Ossetia.

It would be interesting to see another point of view, propaganda or not.

agreed, but that point of view should come from a free press, which is hard to find in Russia.

Hard to find in Russia... hell its hard to find here. The media only reports what it is "allowed" to report. The media here in the US is too afraid of the Government to report truthfully and factually instead they must push Government and private agendas.
What happened to honest and unbiased reporting or did it ever exist?
Besides last I checked Georgia did start the war... why can't the Russians make a movie depicting the truth without it being called propaganda?

I wonder if it will tell a "truthier" version of the events then the American media did?
I would be interested in seeing it either way just to know a little more about the incident.
All I remember is that Georgia attacked Russia(technically) and then played victim when Russia stomped their sorry asses. I also recall the US trying to demonize Russia the entire time for defending it's people after being attacked (that sounds like a familiar scenario... but when it's the US we're always justified to bomb shit)
Here's hoping for some truth in the film!

the truth from a film made by a government? surely you gest. You forget that films made by governments are usually found in the propaganda section at the your local video store.
