    • A dark series of prognostications, indeed. However, the whole thing was a bit boring and seriously needs a good bit of editing.

As a counterpoint, lets assume that we do have a tiny community of rich and powerful. And that the masses are drugged into labor or soul sucking existence.

Where will the art come from? The rich will still want their art, music, movies.

And there will be none. So the rich and powerful will force themselves into a renaissance for creativity's sake. That's just history repeating itself. Happened that way after the dark ages when the Church did exactly the same thing.

    • "Till at last the child's mind is these suggestions, and the sum of the suggestions is the child's mind. And not the child's mind only. The adult's mind too-all his life long. The mind that judges and desire and decides-made up of these suggestions. But all these suggestions are our suggestions... Suggestions from the State."

This book is so amazing, everybody that hasn't read it should ASAP. Talk about where our world is headed, this book is so prophetic. And to think it was written in the 20's.
