Chris Cunningham's New Advert for Gucci

It reminds me of Evil Dead.

In fact, it works really well if you mute it and play 70s zombie movie soundtracks over the top!

(Not that I did that... I don't own Goblin's 1978 'Dawn of the Dead' soundtrack - that's just saaaad...)

I feel the music and visuals won't relate to the every day woman. It's too mystical to fit into our current, modern society. I think if they reworked it, they can find balance between the mystic seventies and the modern millenium.

Chis Cunningham looks like Richard D. James' (Aphex Twin) long lost twin brother! He is by far one of the best video directors of all time! I do have to agree with this group & say it's not the best thing Cunningham ever did! The best video he ever did will probably never get seen by the general public due to it's graphic content! His work on videos such as "Bedtime stories "By Madonna, or pretty much any Aphex Twin video (my favorites for those being : Come to Daddy, Windowlicker, Rubber Johnny & FleX"

Also, I think it's kind of lame. He used a fan to blow some flowers around. no where near as cool as the "freaky head" girl ad for playstation, or the portisehead videos filmed under water, or the bjork video with the robots...

ha ha yeah, I think they forgot about the voiceover and grabbed someone from the street and paid them a fiver for it.

It's alright, the voiceover at the end is bit of an adolescent turn off though.

I think it's ace... although If i did that every morning when i put my perfume on i'd be late for work. A lot.

Yea, Flora just makes me think butter, and then i think, what has weird dancing and using jedi mind tricks to move flowers got to do with butter?...and then i realise it's perfume..and i think..i don't wear perfume...i've just wasted a minute.

If I am honest I find it ridiculous - I am not sure that I would want to wear a perfume that makes me feel like a self-centred pseudo 70's chick who just paid a fortune to smell like a WHOLE field of pink flowers.....MiAOUUU....

I really like it visually, but because of the soundtrack halfway through i honestly expected some hard core 80's dancers to burst on to the screen in array of colourful outfits and bad hair!

I think this is kind of scary! Some kind of crazed witch monster calling the flowers to do her evil bidding! Yes??

I prefer Utterly Butterly.

Beautiful - but i still prefer his Aphex / Squarepusher collaborations.
