t has been a long time since we have heard anything regarding this new X-Men: First Class movie being written for FOX by Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz. We have a little update for you today that comes from producer Lauren Shuler Donner who produced the first three X-Men movies, and the upcoming Wolverine flick. So she knows exactly what is going on with the X-Men franchise, she is in the trenches and here is what she says about X-Men: First Class:

“It is the first class of Xavier’s school, way back when, so it’s young Scott, young Jean, young Beast and that’ll be really fun. I think (the plan) is to follow some of the characters into their own stories, and weave them back into the X-Men world. And hopefully First Class will become its own franchise and we can follow them as they grow up.”

    • I think this could be cool. I wonder what story lines they will go with. As long as they get young, hot actors and don't make the script garbage they could introduce a new generation to the O.G story!

    • I like the comic to movie thing. Most have been hits, I think one reason is that like myself most other viewers bought and collected comics as children. Your selling a product to young kids but the masses.
