If you don't want to waste £3.50 renting this DVD, why not rent "Liar, Liar" from the VHS section, which has the same "Jim-Carrey-does-everything-opposite,with-hilarious-consequences" storyline.

Or if you don't want to waste money on renting a film, why not steal it? Atleast then if you don't like it you could sell it on eBay and make some cold hard cash.

Ok, so Jim Carrey hasn't been as on form comedy-wise since Dumb and Dumber/Ace Ventura/The Mask - however this wasn't too bad. It wasn't amazing - but i watched it all from beginning to end and it kept me entertained.
One or two 'laugh out loud' moments in the film - my favourite being when he's spent a night on the lash drinking mainly red bull - to which he spouts off 'red bull' 'red bull' red bull' 'red bull' in various comedic ways each time.
It's entertaining, and for any Carrey fans, worth a watch for sure. - 3 years ago

I almost expect to be irritated by Carrey's return to this tried and tested formula, but this film made me and my flatmates chuckle! I much prefer to see him in the likes of the Truman Show or Eternal Sunshine... I guess you could say those are the characters which highlight his comical talents without allowing him to lapse into that hyperactive and moronic role which has become his trademark. I recommend it gang.

Yes Man....Just say Yes!
Jim Carey is back, and on form!
Starring in this new comedy as Carl Allen, a fed-up bank worker who is tired of his dead-end job and dead-end life. Being dumped by his fiancée 3 years ago, he spends his time sitting on the sofa rather than getting out into the real world.
That is until a chance meeting with an old friend introduces him to seminars led by positivity guru (Stamp) in which Allen is led along to start to live to say YES!
This film is in typical Carey style, the zany stunts, the wacky faces and funny anecdotes. Some may say they would be disappointed to see Jim in this light again, after his success in darker roles such as in 'Eternal Sunshine' but this role is anything but a let-down.
It is laugh after un-surprising laugh, and although the storyline is not challenging in any way, it is exactly what you want from a goofy comedy flick.
It could be described as like a big chocolate brownie. You know you shouldn't, and you wish you didn't love it so much, but it's just so darn hard to resist! Critics however may disagree when it comes to Yes Man. With its obvious storyline of getting the girl while solving all your life problems, and with it's familiarity in more ways than one to Carey's previous comedy success 'Liar Liar' they don't seem to have much of a sweet tooth. But what do you expect from a typical good-old Carey film?
Seems a little un-realistic that a man who is so depressed and used to saying no to everything in life can suddenly be persuaded to lead a positive yes-fuelled existence, but this is a feel-good, funny and light-hearted film with Carey firmly in his comfort zone. It's a yes from me! - 3 years ago

I HAD TO SPEND SOME QUALITY TIME WITH MY TWELVE YEAR OLD & HE PICKED THIS MOVIE. OF COURSE, I'D RATHER WATERBOARDED THAN WATCH ANY JIM CAREY FLICK, BUT IT WAS THE KID'S DAY. THANKS FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOUT OUT TO THE WORLD THAT THIS MOVIE SUCKS ASS!!! (I HAD TO PRETEND I ENJOYED IT WHEN I WAS WITH MY KID.) REALLY POORLY WRITTEN...THERE'S NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT THE PREMISE, THE LINES, OR THE STAR'S DELIVERY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU MISS THIS ONE.
