Jarvis Cocker has been talking ab out his role in the Roald Dahl film adaptation of 'Fantastic Fox'. He will reportedly provide the voice for Petey, a mandolin-strumming puppet that closely resembles him.

Other people involved in the are George Clooney (Mr Fox), Meryl Streep (Mrs Fox) and Bill Murray (Badger) and Owen Wilson (role not specified).

This makes me incredibly excited, so much so, a little bit of wee came out.

    • I think it's important to go into this film with an open mind. Wes Anderson is one of my favorite living directors and it will be interesting to see not only his take on the book, but also his take on animation as well considering it is his first foray in that department.

    • Oh, dear god no. This film sounds like it might have great potential due to the source material, but I can see it easily becoming a train wreck that would make Roald Dahl spin in his grave.

And really, George Clooney as the voice of Mr. Fox? Does he (as well as Owen Wilson) have to be in almost every movie there is?

    • I hope that this lives up to a generation's expectations.

I can't bear the thought of a film remake ruining quite possibly one of the best books from my childhood.

The cast actually sounds quite good, so maybe, just maybe, this will be a remake that isn't hideous on the big screen.
