Fighting Owl Films Announces Web Series

Mobile, Al based independent film group Fighting Owl Films’ latest short film “The Strange Experiment of Doctor Purefoy” has hit the web as a six-part web series. Each three to five minute episode will be available to watch online at no charge on the group’s website (www.fightingowlfilms.com). Once the series concludes, the 28-minute film will be made available online in its entirety.
The film, a slow-burning mystery, follows college student Corey who is failing Biology. Her only hope of graduating is taking an extra credit job as assistant to the mysterious Professor Purefoy. It's an easy job, but when Corey begins to wonder what's in all those boxes she's picked up for her teacher, what started off innocently soon spirals into a nightmare of physical and psychological manipulation that culminates in an explosive finale.
Fighting Owl Films’ past work includes the internet hit “The Night Shift”, which was featured in genre magazine Fangoria’s online edition earlier this year. The filmmakers hope to locally produce a feature film version of “The Night Shift” next summer.
