I keep asking and no one knows what products have gmo . the answers you get are most corn and most soy but not limited to any thing so what exactly are you staying away from ?does any one really know? corn is in everything. so saying stay away from gmos is like saying be sure not to suck in that virus you can not see .but be sure to know that what you are feeding your kids is going to kill them . so this is my challenge for every one who posts something about gmo or monsanto give me something real to stay away from. an all organic diet is close to impossible in todays world (not as a single person but as a parent) I would like to see something viable .and less of we don't know where we don't when but we know it will kill us .

sue4e3:
It's not by chance that we don't know what products contain GMOs. These companies know that labeling would not be good for business, after all, most consumers would then know which products to avoid.
Non-organic corn, soy and canola would be a good starting point. This is not as easy as it sounds, though, as corn and soy are "hidden" in many products with names that may not be obvious. Like you said, corn is in almost everything. Also, as the "Monsanto vs. Percy Schmeiser" case illustrated, its virtually impossible to eliminate cross contamination of GMO and non-GMO crops. As more and more GMO crops are introduced into the environment, cross contamination will become a bigger and bigger problem.

They have lists. You can also do some research of your own. It's there. Basically, stay away from processed foods and that should eliminate most of them.

I pretty much would stay away from anything that says HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. I have been avoiding this for years but it is in pretty much everything: sodas, condiments, yogurt, cereal, salad dressing, etc.

Submersible: And they know that. GMOs could very well be causing cancer and diabetes, but since they are already "established" diseases if you will, their culpability could not be proven unless the cancer could be traced to being offset by a mutation taking place in the digestive tract from the bacteria from GMOs not being broken down. And of course, with our government as far up as the USSC giving them the ability to patent the seeds and pass them off as "substantially equivalent," they then make it harder to fight for proper disclosure on food labels. The bastards had all the bases covered.

Genetically modified foods were also tackled in this documentary called, "The Future of Food". Very informative and interesting. It is up on HULU.

Bestselling author Barbara Kingsolver returns with her first nonfiction narrative that will open your eyes in a hundred new ways to an old truth: You are what you eat.
I recommend this book to anyone interested in food.

Industrial civilization causes cancer. Natural, healthy living doesn't. Just the artificial, chemical shit we produce that we think makes our lives better.

I stopped caring about what causes cancer when I was old enough to know that the sun causes cancer. There's no escaping it, might as well not worry about it.
"...they're never gonna find a cure, because there isn't one, because cancer is God's disease. It's his way of thinning out the herd, and it's cruel and mysterious, and no one's ever gonna figure it out, because that's the way God likes it." - Rescue Me

I'm assuming that the last question about us being guinea pigs was rhetorical.
It's the same reason during a war time the US military industrial complex goes batshit developing new deadlier tools. It isn't because they want to save soldiers it is because they want to see how effectively they can kill the opposition.
I'm quite certain when Japan assaulted Pearl Harbor there were quite a few leading profiteers in war that got pretty big hardons.
As for food, I try my best to only eat local foods that are grown by folks that I can easily meet. Sure they might still be doing something underhanded with their stuff but there is something pleasant about helping people you can see, it is that contact that makes things all the more real.

Bush was one of seven directors of the Union Banking Corporation, an investment bank controlled by the Thyssen family, which was seized in October 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act as being owned by "enemy aliens." The assets were held by the government for the duration of the war, then returned afterward.

Oh here I go again, toxins = poison, depending upon how much poison you ingest through food, liquids, or air, it will get you in the end, and depending upon the individuals own being physically, emotionally, spiritually, genetically, will manifest differently for different people... One person will contract cancer, whether it is part of their family history or not, whilst another person will be hit with another devastating disease...
It seems to me - my personal observation, that most people are not feeling very well these days, but they accept it as if it is normal. Wether dealing with a devastating disease, or living on an eighth of your life force or less does not equate to a good life....It doesn't take a "scientist" to understand this, common sense and wisdom are enough.

Yes, it also makes me wonder about Monsanto making GMOs, and then having a relationship wth Eli Lilly which also makes genetically modified insulin and is the company they sold POSILAC to. Do they know GMOS also cause diabetes and are just testing it on us and then making money from the insulin as well? Are we guinea pigs? I say, we sure as hell are, and it is time we put a stop to it.
