In doing so the fake Austrian fashion critic follows in the footsteps of Naomi Campbell, someone he takes to task in his A-Z of fashion must haves.
'She's amazing - 20 years in ze business und all the pressure und fame hasn't changed her a bit. She's remained a total b****.'
Naomi isn't the only one to feel Bruno's claws. Madonna, Pink and Amy Winehouse are all ridiculed in the interview.
On Pink he reveals: 'Just vatching him now on MTV. A great singer und so hunky.'
Winehouse is '... not too skinny, in fact, for ein junkie she is actually zehr fat.'
And as for Madonna, he claims L is for 'Little black child... thanks to Madonna... it's zis season's vardrobe essential.'
In an accompanying fashion shoot Bruno recreates a Versace advert in a silver leather jumpsuit, along with model Alessandra Ambrosio.

This is undoubtedly a paid ad for the film. Buying the actual cover must have been wildly expensive though. Those things are not cheap to buy space in. Surprising since they're usually about 80% advertising.

It's probably one of the few times in recent years that I'd actually want to buy one of the monthly fashion mags. I think Bruno will be bigger than Borat & burukka16 is right, it's a massive coup for him to get the front cover of Marie Claire

You got to love a guy who is so clever and accurate at exposing the pretentious and ignorant aspects of people by giving them characters they mistakingly think they know or trust.
I think him and his alter egos from ali g to borat to bruno are all hilarious even if some parts are staged. - 4 years ago

true dat, i think some people just dont 'get it', and see it as a funny man making jokes, when there is some pretty serious points underlying the comedy!

Does anyone NOT like Baron Cohen and his alter egos? They do nothing for me.

It seems like Borat, Bruno, et al are better at being outrageous than funny. Outrageous is just... outrageous -- it's not necessarily funny.

The only thing that bothers me about him is his occasional abuse of innocents. Other than that he's just basic shock humor.

i think hes a very clever and wise man poking fun at celebrity 'culture' with the new film. the same with borat with showing how the west is still pretty ignorant of the middle east / asia, and ali G is just brilliant,
