The Future Of Food

JanforGore
This is no future. But we have the power to change the future and we are. Stand by farmers who grow safe healthy food and who cherish the centuries old tradition of saving seeds. If we allow big ag to have its way their vision of a monculture world for their proft may lead us to worldwide famine, not sustainaibility. Stand up and fight for your right to maintain the closest and most spiritual relationship you have: That with your Earth which provides what keeps you alive.

Say NO to GMO.

This documentary will be featured on the Sustainable Agriculture Channel for the remainder of the weekend.

    • This important documentary is being featured again today on the Sustainable Agriculture Group. Please watch it if you have not done so already. It is information you need to have to make informed decisions about your food and your government.

    • Home for the holiday, or on spring break? This is a constructive way to take up some time here. This is a must see documentary to know where your food comes from and how you can shape its future which will shape yours.

You can do a search on YouTube and you will find many people have posted the documentary in ten minute increments, type in "Future of Food". Films like this on youtube are usually put together as "Playlists". It will also be posted on freedocumentaries.org as soon as they have a working stream for it....

    • pjacobs your response made me think of this web site (Cornucopia Institute) so thought I would add this link for interest - all sorts of articles about food standards, quality, ratings on different companies....

organic consumers association is also a good resource for food information and petitions/letters to congress.

    • Now if we could get them to label food as GMO or NOT GMO in the local grocery stores, we would know what to buy. Right now it's damn hard to tell for the average person who doesn't do the research on what they're buying. The problem is most folk don't even know what GMO is.

      Hmmm, letters to congress anyone?

      Great post Jan!

    • Why did they have to start messing with the food. I wish they would have just left them alone? I don't know why they need to mutate or genically alter any food. They just want to make more money off of something that Mother Nature already had the patent.on! WHY CAN'T THEY JUST LEAVE THINGS ALONE,Just Stop, LET US LIVE NATURALLY LIKE WE HAVE BEEN DOING. DON'T MAKE EVERYTHING SUCH AN ISSUE! Leave the nature way to grow food naturally alone now! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE,MAY GOD STRIKE YOU DOWN IF YOU MESS WITH OUR FOOD ANYMORE!!!!

    • Generally speaking , subsistence farming is not a problem. We can produce what is necessary to survive. What we cannot do, is to produce a crop sufficient to support the deadbeat politicians and beaurecrats of this Earth! They are parasites on our back. Put them to work and shut their lying mouths, then we can prosper!
