Bruno Overall is a gag infested movie that has you in stitches after the first time of watching. The Scenarios are very thought out although the story is sort of jammed together to create a new and improved Borat.
The customs look like they have been carefully created for the character and Sacha has made a good comedy of the film. For these reasons I rate this film as a 7/10, only because of the likelyness to the scenarios and gags in Borat. Bruno and Borat are almost the same films with vast differences and complexities added to diffrenciate from the two. - 2 years ago

Bruno/Borat- it's like two parallel films. One is funny, the other frankly isn't.

On the whole, massively disappointing. Sasha Baron Cohen's a great actor and he's come up with a good character. The problem is the film plot is dull, the jokes are mostly good but grow tired after a while - there's only so many times you can laugh at an American conservative getting freaked out by Bruno flirting with them - and it misses a trick by not focussing more on how ridiculous the fashion industry can be.
Interestingly it's also massively forgettable. I struggled to remember key moments. On the plus side, I did get to say the words "Hitler" and "massive dancing genitalia" in the same sentence in this review, which was a first and a not-entirely-unpleasant experience.

Sacha Baron Cohen's a one-trick pony, and it gets old really really fast. Leave well alone in my opinion!

I find Sacha Baron Cohen a bit boring and not very funny. People are always saying he's so smart and clever. He may be so, but i don't think it shines through in his comedy.

Saw it last night, and the whole cinema was roaring and crying with laughter. It's got less potential to offend people than Borat did, and that might be why some people think it's not as good but for me it made me laugh out loud loads and also had some shocking and brave moments from Cohen. The man has bal*s of steel!

It'll be so painful to watch ... and so funny somewhere between shock and absurdity .. this humour is difficult to lock in to and not everyone will like it, its comedy at its extreme !

This movie is going to be hilarious. I love his comedy, it puts so many people in awkward situations! That's what's so funny about it.
I wasn't offended once in Borat. People who get too offended by comedy are uptight in my opinion. Stop being so Puritan...

It's a shame to think his star has risen to such an extent, it's unlikely he'll be able to make this type of undercover comedy again. I think he's PR genius.
Keep an eye on current.com/reviews as we will be looking for reviews of this film to air on TV.

Mr_Costello:
I get the impression that the people he preys on for undercover segments are not exactly switched on in the paying-attention-to-the-world-around-them kind of way. He's probably safe for another few characters yet.

On a second thought I agree, he sure chooses remote communities.

I can't wait for this - if for no other reason than to watch people get utterly bent out of shape at the "offense" of it all.
