Nick Cave and Warren Ellis to score Sex Trade Doc

I'm a huge fan of Cave/Ellis' work on The Proposition soundtrack and The Assassination Of Jesse James.

And their next theatrically released score will be for John Hillcoat's The Road adaptation.

But from Pitchfork:

On their MySpace page, Cave and Ellis mention that they have scored The Girls of Phnom Penh, which is described as "Matthew Watson's second film about the consequences of Cambodia's 'virginity trade'". Sounds unbearably sad! The as-yet-unfinished film is due later in the year.

    • i loved the jesse james film. it was kind of like the world getting a terrence malick film for free. and the music was perfect. i also liked the soundtrack to winged migration which i think also features nick's work.

i read the synopsis of that matthew watson doc and it sounds really awesome. in a sad way that is.
