Finally actress Cameron Diaz has been honoured and has her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A number of friends and actors including Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Lucy Liu joined hundreds of fans at the ceremony in Los Angeles on Monday. Miss Diaz attributed her success to her parents. Her father recently died of pneumonia in April at aged 58.
She claimed her parents' love had given her "the strength and courage to live this extraordinary life".
"It is what powers the light that burns inside of me, bright enough for me to be honoured today with this star on the Walk of Fame," she also added.
Diaz's first big break came in 1994 with the Jim Carrey film The Mask. She also stars in upcoming drama My Sister's Keeper.
