    • what do people expect, it's a blockbuster movie...they're not generally known for having resonance or doing anything other than raising your pulse rate, sheesh

      yes and this is the problem - this film is like junk food - people's standards have become so lowered they find utter trash, stuff that's actually bad for you - that makes you stupider, acceptable.

      how would we know what was good if we didn't have the bad...as with everything you take the good with the bad. Although the amount of good films may be disproportionate to the amount of bad films it doesn't mean that cinema as the art form that it is dead. It is up to individuals to find the diamonds amongst the coal, otherwise even if there is a mass overhaul of the industry and an "intellectualization" of films, the masses would still be relying on others to do their thinking for them. Regardless of what the industry decides to produce everyone has the free will to consume whatever they want and if they want junk food, let them eat junk food

      i hear what you're saying - but there's a reason we don't allow lead in paint -

      this film is so toxic that i believe it's actually harmful to humans - this is why you've seen so many critics try to raise the alarm about this picture - it really is that terrible.

    • That was the best review I've ever heard. Makes me intrigued to see it (bootlegged or borrowed mind you) for its significance as a cultural artifact.

    • It's a good review, but the whole diatribe at the beginning made me almost want to find something more coherent to listen to... like the original broadcast signal of the Sputnik satellite. I haven't seen this many disjointed references since "Family Guy" aired a flashback inside a flashback inside a flashback...

      What? No clip? Oh well... I guess that only works for Seth MacFarlane.
