You know what’s really infuriating is that I’m not absolutely closed to the idea of reimaging the X-men, but before Marvel gets all carried away (too late for that) they need to do at least one flick/series that actually pays homage to the numerous X-books, or any Marvel books.
Let’s face it, Marvel shat on everything great about the X-men just make it appealing for the “I’ve never read any X-men literature” crowd. They had millions of dollars, all the talent in the world and six plus hours to produce an experience that felt right and in the end the best reflection of the original comics is complements of a thirty minute Saturday morning cartoon show on FOX!
Yeah that’s right I’d trade every single X-men movie plus the right to slowly torture everyone involved in the Wolverine origins movie ( the merc with a mouth had no mouth! MFers have died for a lot less) just for that little bit of nostalgia I feel every time I hear the opening credits to the cartoon.
*sigh* Ok I’m not going to rant, anymore. I’m not going to rant anymore. You know what, yes I am so let me just make this short. That’s not Wolverine that’s a tall, skinny guy with an epic mullet. Wolverine was a short, stocky, hairy Canadian with a blue and yellow or a brown and gold body suit. If the creators of Batman Begins can recreate the bat suit and make it look cool without deviating too far from the original then some guy can draw a freaking Wolverine costume for a cartoon.

I hate this but I’m still going to watch it.
