    • Top 5 reasons chick flicks eat my ass:
      5. They all follow the same horrid design of cheese wiz.
      4. Your shitty girl friend that you only hang out with on occasion always seems to get you to go to these flicks (This is why you only want to see her every once in a while)
      3. After the movie, you then have to listen to her tell you how excitied she is that her new belt matches both her new shoes and new earings - (chances are you bought that dumbass shit with her before the movie)
      2. She's now drunk off cosmos and crying about her new weight around her fat ass and how she can't find a "nice guy" like you.
      1. Shit gets weird and your friend is now trying to lick your mouth and make you taste her goop mascare tears while her face melts off on your new douchey T-Shirt she got for you. You could have sworn the guy in the movie was wearing the same shirt. . All because of Chick Fliks. Damn. To hell with them, I say.

    • I'm surprised they managed to narrow it down to just five!

The whole genre sucks, I ended up watching The Sex IN The City movie over the weekend (I couldn't be arsed to move off the sofa) and crickey it sucked. Hard.

    • I agree with most of these! Yes! Grand gestures of love can be creepy...and annoying...and what happens after that? (I totally want a bickering romance that leads to a bickering relationship!) And what is with all those media jobs?

I always considered romcom the late-night-with-the-girls movie genre of choice. You have to be in a 'romcom' mood to watch something so contrived. However, good chemistry between leads really helps, they can even escalate a dull story... but only so much...
