Australian filmmakers Michael and Peter Spierig, who were involved with zombie film Undead and the new upcoming sci-fi vampire film Daybreakers which is released on January 8, 2010, have been hired by Warner Brothers to write a new version of the classic 1935 pirate hero Captain Blood, who was famously played by Errol Flynn.
The two brothers won a battle against other filmmakers and gave their own take on the movie to Warner Brothers , which would take the story into outer space,but will remain faithful to the plot of Blood's clash with a French pirate who captures the woman he loves.
