If you were to ask ten people on the street if mankind was causing global warming, at least eight out of ten would say yes. After all, Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth provides incontrovertible evidence that this is the case. Yet, contrary to what is heard in the media, there is overwhelming evidence that the warming we are experiencing is natural, with maybe a small amount contributed by man’s activities. Nor is there any scientific consensus. The debate is still raging within the scientific community.     • You know ENRON came up with cap and trade to TAX the rich and give to the poor in the form of greenpower. ENRON was to build the green projects for the poor. ENRON would have made big on this in the 90s. But its all gone now. Or is it ? ENRON wind is now G.E. wind, Im sure you know that G.E. makes futuregen turbines for coalplants. So now you know who foots the bill on cap and trade and who gets the money. Was ENRON now its G.E.

    • NEWS FLASH... The earth has been warming and cooling since the birth of the planet as we know it. Man made? I will leave you all with this, lets agree on taking care or this beautiful planet that we all live on... lets constantly strive to create new innovative ways to harness the energy sources without releasing minimal to zero pollutants into the oceans, streams and the air... but lets also make a reasonable transition to that point without crippling our economy & taxing us to death. We need to transition at a sensible rate. Doe's that make sense to you all?

      Let's be civil and debate the issue from the right, the center and the left. Lets unite and show the world that we can live together ,respect and learn from each others opinions and (Educated) analysis's.

      Stop being lazy and for Gods sake listen, read & watch many perspectives on the issues at hand before forming your own hypothesis.

      Put aside your ideology & seek the REAL TRUTH. You may have to inconvenience yourself to find it, but it will be as close to the truth as possible. I myself prefer to listen to the climatologists and geologists not Al Gore's conveniently selected panel's. The truth will set you free my friend.

      P.S, Always follow the money trail! You may just be surprised what you will find...

      Here to all: If you don't "believe" that the Earth is changing don't worry about it.... just ignore it. Have babies, watch them grow up, work at the factory (if you can find a job), grow old, (hope you can retire).

      Why are you wasting all your passion and energy fighting against activities that are in the best long-term interest of your children? Why not instead spend less time in front of Fox News and more time outside playing in the park with your kids.

      If I decide to participate in recycling my cans and plastic is that going to tip the scale of your lifecycle for the worst?

      Why do some people feel that crazy fanatical talk-show hosts should be the source of their facts?

      I think I'd welcome debate but the facts in data recorded all over the world say: Something is changing the world.

      This scientist sounds like a quack to me. He spent 5 minutes mocking the hockey stick "formula"? WTF?

      There's no formula, the shape of the graph is the shape of the data. Temperatures rise, CO2 levels rise. It's recorded in the ice at the core of Antarctica.

    • It's really not about global warming... it's going to be about global extremes. Watch the pendulum between summer and winter get wilder and wilder.

      In any case... the argument should not be about who is right and wrong about climate change. The question is: Should we start being responsible to the long-term of our species and planet and our future generations or should we be irresponsible and destroy the future?

      We DO have an impact on our environment (good or bad). On the 3 days when all air traffic was grounded after the 9/11 attack our national average temperature spiked 3 degrees higher than normal and when all the planes started leaving their contrails across our local skies it dropped back down to averages again... real data speaks real truth.

      ok, stradius, that may be, but correlation does not always equal causation... and there is far more data to suggest that the climate is warming check out the youtube channel greenman3610 for some data on global warming. Now, i must also say that Al Gore does exaggerate a lot in his movie and what he says should be taken with a grain of salt.... he is not a scientist, he is a politician, and noble though his intentions may be... he does distort the truth...

      also i wanna point out to the poster of this video: you said scientists and biologists talk on camera...

      firstly, biologists ARE scientists
      secondly, biology is NOT climatology... and so a biologist's opinion on climate change is about as worthless as a physicist's opinion on evolution

      Not sure what you mean here. I'll say it again -- clear proof that Humans affect the climate.

      After 9/11 the government grounded ALL air traffic over the United States of America. During that 3 day period ALL average temperatures across the country rose 3 degrees. After the air traffic was allowed to fly the average temperature across the entire country went down 3 degrees.

      The earth is AT THIS MOMENT under the effects of Global Dimming (our pollution in the atmosphere is shading us from the sun). Proof of this Climate Change is in the average temperatures over our country during the no-fly period. The USA would be 3 degrees hotter already if we didn't have jet contrails shading the sky.

      In fact, the Global Dimming discovery says sadly that things are actually WORSE than we know.

      Bottom line: We're living in a fishbowl and we're either going to have to become responsible about taking care of our own fish-tank or we're going to die in it.

      Also, regarding Al Gore's show. I found it interesting and entertaining but it wasn't the best one to watch. Check out Leonardo DiCaprio's movie "11th Hour". It puts everything down into real-world terms you can sink your teeth into. AND, it's not just about gloom-and-doom, it talks about a few changes to our society that will make the changes we need to get this thing under OUR control instead of wondering who's responsible.
