Rebirth of an American Hero: Comic book icon Larry Hama talks about the new 'G.I. Joe' film

After scaling incredible box office heights with Hasbro's "Transformers," Paramount eagerly sought to bring the toy company's "G.I. Joe" to the screen. This American icon had already been given a new life at the hand of Marvel writer-editor Larry Hama. When director Stephen Sommers and the creative team began working on "The Rise of Cobra," they turned to Hama as a creative consultant to make sure the G.I. Joe world was properly represented.
