(Editor’s note: Occasionally we run two critiques of the same film. We believe it’s a good thing to offer divergent reviews. Also, we sometimes screw up and assign two people to the same film. Review one of two runs today. Was this another error? We’ll never tell.)

A Perfect Getaway, the latest from David Twohy via Universal, is an argument for a return to Nitrite film stock. One lighted match and this piece of trash would vaporize.

    • Do me a favor, Chapinyoung: Please post your comments on the filmsoundoff website. Also, be aware that there's another (slightly -- ever so slightly) -- review going up tomorrow.

Favor 2: If you twitter, please follow us on Twitter. Or check the contact us box and go on the mailing list for the almost daily newsletter to keep up op date on what's new.

Favor 3: When you visit the site, click on all the Google ads. I hate to be mercenary about this, but man does not live on site visits alone.

Favor 4: Tell all your friends.

That's it...for now. Seriously, thanks for your interest.

    • I actually liked it...it's not The Godfather, but it's a totally legit, fun, get-out-of-the-summer-heat popcorn movie. And there's a twist in it I definitely never saw coming...
