Ridley Scott and Leonardo DiCaprio to Produce Brave New World Film

Ridley Scott and Leonardo DiCaprio have teamed up to produce a new film version of Brave New World, Aldous Huxley’s fearsome cautionary novel from 1932.Risky Business posits that Scott and DiCaprio have rough plans to direct and star, respectively, but several people close to the proposed movie tell the blog it’s too early to tell. Scott and DiCaprio previously worked together on the spy thriller Body of Lies, a misfire when it opened last October.

Brave New World has never had major-wattage film treatment, though several television versions have been produced in the past. Scott, of course, directed Blade Runner in 1982, which went on to become one of the best-regarded dystopian movies to come out of Hollywood.

    • Sorry bout that. I guess I'm a bit confused then. Many times, I submit a story and, later, someone else will submit a different link on the story. That person's link/submission will be featured. I contacted Current and asked why that would be. A staff member responded, saying that, while the first submission is usually featured, sometimes a link submitted later has better details and information, so it is featured instead. I understood that to mean that different links on the same subject matter are encouraged, as some are better and more likely to be selected than others. I'm gettin mixed signals here ;) Thanks for your response!

    • Thanks for the submission, but someone--er, me, sorry---already posted and featured this news yesterday.

In the future, just check Current via our Search Bar before submitting something to avoid duplication.

      Thanks!
