This is a profile of one of one of the longest running internet radio stations, Dublab.com. They have continued to flourish throughout the ever changing landscape of the internet. Dublab is a thriving collective of deejays, musicians, and artists of all kinds, whom inspire not only the Los Angeles community from which they are from but also many countries around the world.

They have been able to thrive for an incredible 10 years based on the support of their worldwide audience. By attracting top notch artists to perform live sessions and hosting various music events at locations of cultural significance, Dublab stands out as one of the most progressive and forward thinking ( while also staying in touch with the past ) internet radio stations on the web. They continue to spread positivity through the power of music and art.

    • while the whole "dub movement is like what i live on on the weekends, I have to disagree that this is the most progressive forward thinking internet radio.

      Check out Dubstep.fm or dubstep.com.....they are based in like london or something....and thats where the newest shit is coming from. the sounds will blow you away man, some talented peoples

      look for the IRC chat and the Dj's will be on there and you can make requests or chat with them

      and there always talking about weed haha. awesome community. great tunes

      weather it be dublab or dubstep, mad props to everyone making the dubstep/drum and bass style ssounds known

      In the interest of full disclosure, I am one of the dublab DJ's. I wanted to make a quick point of clarification that the article did not state that dublab was the most progressive radio station... but that it was one of the most progressive radio stations. I would of course defer to the individual listeners to be the final judges of that claim. dublab has nothing but respect for other stations such as dubstep.fm for pushing new music. Thanks for suggesting that as a link.

      In case you're interested, you'll find some dubstep and related genres mixed into the "dubstream", as well as in the site's audio archives. Resident DJ's such as Flying Lotus, the Gaslamp Killer, and Daedelus include a fair share of those genres in their shows. dublab has also had guest mixes from dubstep and D&B producers including: Kode 9, Samiyam, Photek, Dego (4 Hero), and more.

      dublab is a for non-profit music organization and LA based internet radio collective geared towards new and old ecclectic (genre-non specific) music.

      dublab does have the word 'dub' in it, so this can be confusing sometimes ;)
