Several Documentaries Everyone Should See: Easy Access Links

SeaJade
This link from the Care2 site came in this morning titled "Five Documentaries Everyone Should See"... Most of them directly relate with sustainable agriculture and you may have seen some of them or all of them... I thought I would take advantage of the list and forward it here even though most of the films have been posted separately at one time or another.
The first one on the list "The Real Dirt on Farmer John" is perhaps a less known film, it is one I have seen and recommend it - it is entertaining, provocative, heart warming, personal, and will make some of you laugh and cry...
Can hardly say "enjoy" in the sense of the subject matter, but incredibly informative and valuable as well as being great films to pass on to to other people....

    • Here is a link to a playlist John Perkins' presentation in a Washington DC bookstore of "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" based on his best seller... it is really worth the time to listen all the way to the end...
I have several other "favorites" and will post later....

It is an eye opener and another one of those presentations that help us join the dots together...

    • A note to all: thank you for checking this list out, if you have others to recommend please add them to the list, if you can, also add a link to where either information can be found on how to buy the documentary, or previews from youtube (or wherever) would be really welcomed.... many of them can be found on current.com from previous posts...

    • Thanks for the recommendation to free documentaries Project Bat.
Here is a direct link to the freedocumentaries.org web site... it has quite the collection. The film makers are wonderfully generous to share this way - the information they are wanting to impart to us is more important than the profit... Hats off to them all!

One of my favorites is "Century of the Self".....

    • Definitely need to check out "Why We Fight" too. Real insight on the military industrial complex.

Also, here's a bunch of free documentaries:

    • That list is amazing. I want to watch them all, especially "Who Killed The Electric Car?".

Though some Docus that should have been on the list "American Drug War: The Last White Hope (2007)" and "Sicko".

    • Excellent picks. I just posted the trailer for Tapped and hope to get to see it. Flow is really another must see regarding water privitization. I have seen King Corn and Who Killed The Electric Car and recommend them. I have not seen The Real Dirt on Farmer John though I did hear of it through news of VP Gore awarding it a Nashville film award a couple of years ago. I intend to make sure to watch it. Thanks so much for passing this on.
