The rag (sorry, newspaper), has stated that Fox will join CHRISTIAN BALE, MICHAEL CAINE and director CHRISTOPHER NOLAN in shooting next year for a 2011 release.

I absoutly agree with you monty_Python but as you can see this is how the Hollywood system works, you star in a film that has sooooo much hype over the franchise market then you have future projects coming to you from left, right and centre.
This is how it is they just go for someone who looks sexy and appealling to the crowd, remember this saying 'GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT' so there. I have seen the Dark Kinght and it was good but for this one I think I will give it a miss if she is going to be in it.

Wow... I am not surprised that Megan Fox is playing Catwoman. So far all her roles that she has played required nothing but a pretty face and a hot body, so it's pretty safe to assume that Catwoman will have the same requirements. Can she even act?

Megan Fox is perfect for the "love interest", the "damsel in distress", or any of those other roles reserved for beautiful actresses who can't actually act. Catwoman is not one of those roles.

She needs the experience. But not expecting her performance to be as good as the joker.

If that was to ever be true, that would ruin the whole movie for me. I hate Catwoman, I really do.

They are going to film this entire movie in a kitchen correct? So the women can be present?

didn't Nolan say he'd put a villain in that has never been depicted in a batman movie before in the next one? Thus ruling out Catwoman (along with Penguin, Mr Freeze, Riddler, or Poison Ivy).
I'm hoping for the Ventriloquist. And as they can't have the Joker back (they wouldn't dare use another actor), how about throwing in Harley Quinn, even if only for a little bit. - 3 years ago

Mr_T:
Ohh Id love to see Harley Quinn! But that will be hard to do without The Joker.
Just please no Megan Fox...she cant act her way out of a paper bag and if she gets anymore plastic surgery she's going to look like a plastic bag.

Mr_T:
i'd like it even if they throw in a little cameo in a scene in Arkham or something.
In the animated series didn't she get pally with Poison Ivy for a bit (i am such a geek), so with Joker maybe out of the picture they could do Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.
But as i said, if Nolan sticks to his all new villains, no Poison Ivy.
Some of the villains would be unworkable in the more gritty realistic tone of the movies. IE. Killer Croc would not work. - 3 years ago

I have to agree with everyone on this issue...BUT Megan Fox has become VERY over rated, and she is hot, but come on people, she can afford to let someone else have some glory in the movie business

No offense to Megan (I think), but these seem to be the only rolls she can do; and while I admit Dark Knight was really good, it still was a summer blockbuster that was trying to entertain people more than make people think.

The chance of Megan Fox being Catwoman is about 2.5%.

Oh great! What's next?
Shia Lebeouf as the Riddler, Micheal Gambon as the Clock King or how about this Poison Ivy Carmen Electra.

I don't really think she has been given a chance to act yet. Jennifer's Body will hopefully show us if she has any real skill or not.

That's The Sun making up total BS. There's no way they'd cast someone as obvious as Megan Fox. Plus i'd like to see a more interesting villan than Catwoman (not that Catwoman is always actually a villan).
Hush would be good. Although i wouldn't object to Mr. Freeze or Poison Ivy done right. Or Penguin as the Mob style business man he is in the books, rather than deformed outcast... Philip Seymour Hoffman as Penguin anyone?

While I would kill (quite literally) to see Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin I definitely don't see it happening (we aren't that lucky).
And I did clearly state in my original article that this is most likely b.s. - in fact I can't remember the last time a British tabloid broke film news that WASN'T b.s.!

I think Megan Fox could pull it off. The Catwoman is hardly renowned for her lengthy dialogues - she's only gotta be saying "meow" a few times and make some bitchy/sexually loaded comments at Batman.
Plus she'd look great in a leather catsuit...

Bless her. You'll get better acting at a monster truck rally, let's hope she doesn't get too much screen time. She does great in your average Micahel Bay deafening action headbanger; which is like watching paint dry while getting hit over the head with a frying pan. I'm pretty sure this is nothing but tabloid speculation. Nolan wouldn't do such a thing to a franchise he has so skillfully resurrected. In the event such a decision went ahead it would be because of her commercial firepower. And even then it would be a controversial move.

as long as there is on scene of her half naked then i would be ok with it. but in all reality i dunno if i could see her doing that role she can be sexy and seductive no problem but shes young it would be like awkward to see her in that movie with bale she would bring down the movie i feel. find some 1 else.

I'm looking at it with her current credentials they aren't too promising and it seems that most female characters don't do so well in these least batman flicks. they would have to look long and hard for a Cat woman. but is that the only villain that they'll bring in??? i hope not say probably the riddler or poison ivy or dr freeze i wanna see who they want as the villians then who they might cast to play them.

I completely agree. At the risk of dorking out, Batman has many foes within his rouges gallery that with good writing and development (within the confines of a film) could easily be viable and plausible villains. And like you said, who they would cast to play them.
