Director Roman Polanski was arrested in Switzerland this weekend on a 1978 arrest warrant for the rape of then 13-year-old Samantha Geimer. Polanski had traveled to Switzerland to receive a lifetime achievement award at the Zurich Film Festival.

    • Interesting...I assume Polanski had no idea that we have a treaty with the Swiss that allows us to do this. So he will face statutory rape charges for a crime committed 31-32 years ago. His victim is now around 45...Anybody know why she has asked that the charges be dismissed? If she was still a minor, I would say to simply disregard that request. But at her age now, I would at least be interested to know her reasons...
