If you consider yourself remotely a fan of comics, you're bound to run across Warren Ellis' name. After all, he's written everything from Marvel to DC, but specialized himself with his series under the Avatar imprint.
Gravel, which follows the titular "combat magician" through all manner of exploits, has been optioned to film by Legendary Pictures. This marks the fourth original title of Ellis' that is currently in production.
He's currently expected to pen the screenplay, which if you're at all familiar with Gravel's exploits, can range from zombie prison outbreaks to battling six other "Minor" magicians for control of an accursed text.
