This brilliant item was inspired by the scene at the beginning of The Empire Strikes Back where Han stuffs a nearly frozen Luke into the belly of this ridable animal. The sleeping bag is designed to look like the full body a tauntaun with the head being a pillow. The zipper pull is a plush lightsaber, that by unzipping, will actually be slicing into the beast. The interior lining has a blue "guts" design, showing off the warm, intestinal, Tauntaun interior.
The wait is nearly over. Just a few days ago, ThinkGeek got the first completed sleeping bag back at their offices. The teaser pics they sent out look fantastic. It's much more polished than the already impressive prototype. No specific details have been released yet, but it's likely that the price of $100 will stick when the final item is released for sale early in November.
