For a moment, We Were Once a Fairytale seems like a slow-motion horror film.
Sure, Kayne West (playing a version of himself) is drunk and incredibly loud at a club as he makes a scene entirely around himself. Yet it’s hard to forget that merely weeks ago, this spawned a meme and made him culturally infamous.
Under the hands of Spike Jonze’s steadicam, we’re treated to a booze-fueled Kayne that has one of many(?) drunken hallucinations and culminates in what could be seen as quietly asking for forgiveness.
Also, vomiting rose petals.
