not many in ancient Greece, not many white ppl in movies about ancient China, it's not a racist thing...or white ppl in apocalypto, (well except the end for like 5 seconds)... seriously, not a race thing...

Nephwrack, don't know if you get out much but I've been to Greece and based on what I saw, there's a lot of black folks in that country. It might not have Latinos or Asians, but it did have blacks and based on the trailer, there were no black folks in the movie either.

Just because Hollywood said it didn't, we go on believing everything they say?

*ancient* Greece. ancient. not now, ancient Greece. sure, i'm sure there were blacks there back then too, but probably not many Asians or Latinos. just citing history. if by Asians you mean middle easterners then yes, but prolly not many east Asians, just like there weren't many blacks in medieval Europe. i seriously doubt this is a race thing. admittedly, there probably aren't enough actual Greeks in the movie...

Wow, you really know how to alienate people who would otherwise agree with you Ksirys. Cassiopeia is supposed to be an Ethiopian or Tunisian princess in many versions of the myth. But its not uniform and its also a two dimensional role, damsel in distress, cursed for vanity by a capricious god, but with no redeeming qualities in the myth other than her beauty.

According to myth, Perseus was the founder of the Greek Kingdom of Mycenae, Mycenae was settled by Indo-Europeans so "whites" would have made up the majority of its population. However, Mycenaean material culture has been found in such diverse places as Sardinia, Southern Italy, Sicily, Cyprus, Syria-Palestine, and Egypt so it is not impossible that people of many races to have at least visited Mycenae.

@ocanada, First, you can dislike me or the comment all you want, but the truth is, the topic on movies being 90% white, with leading roles always played by white, is getting boring and a FACT. I don't care what the myth, the book or legend says about this film.

What I care for is more of what's represented out there, in our population, or any population, than what we see on film. If you don't like what I say, just like ocanada just said, move on or leave a message stating other wise. But as I said earlier, if you do travel outside this country, there's tons of black folks in Greece. How white folks in other countries think that they didn't exist in their time is absurd and racist.

That's right, r a c i s t, racist! Because just like Egypt thinks that they were all of pale skin, the rulers in their mighty old times, were black.... and guess what? It's a FACT.... but what do we see in movies? white.... 0_o

Just like movies that have all white folks in them, ex.. Wall Street, Gi Joe or even Transformers or Star Trek (all leading roles just to say the least) are about the white man, saving the world or the white man fighting crime... lol.. it's getting fucking boring.

So please, spare me the logic you want to use about how your sources, books, internet and so forth, tell you how the people in those times were all white, since books, like the bible and internet can be corrupted by a person at any time.

If i was born in the year 1000 and wrote how everyone in South America was Peruvian, everyone now a days would have believed me because they would have follow a 1000 yr old book. When you get the chance to travel and visit other cultures and their beauties, you'll see that black folks are more accepted and welcomed in other countries than ours. I'm not black and this comment is not about me loving the blacking race. What it has to do though is the fact that there's no true representation of other cultures in movies... PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

You want another example??? I went to see West Side Story (the play in NY) and thinking they would have used Latinos for the roles of Latinos, they instead used white folks. HOW AND WHY do you use white folks when the role was originally for LATINOS and meant for LATINOS... is beyond me. I walked out and demanded a refund and guess what? the young lady at the counter was very happy to give it to me after I explained my reason..

So, dislike me or don't agree with me from now on, but understand that movies are losing money every day they come out with movies with all white folks in them. PLAIN AND SIMPLE....

since you're so concerened about minorities not being included in this movie, what about the blacks? or the Arbas? too, oh wait. you wanted to see Asians and Latinos only.

you can tell this by 1 minute of trailer? If you feel that strongly that it's gonna suck, dont go see it, but otherwise, shut up.
