    • One of the best movies I've EVER seen. I was emotionally exhausted when I left the theater. If Mo'Nique doesn't get an Oscar nom, I'm going to be highly disappointed.

    • I'm pretty skeptical of this movie based on just how mopey it sounds/will make me feel. I feel smothered by the negative things this girl has to go through: She's obese, she's a pregnant teen for the second time, the father of the kids is HER father, her mother is abusive, she is HIV positive...it's like what else could they throw at her to make her life more miserable? Everybody seems to get caught up in the story though so maybe it's worth a shot.

It's not about the negatives in her life it's how she decided, on her own, she was going to make her life better by finding a way out of the hole she was born in. This isn't a lifetime-esq movie but it's very truthfull and that's what I like about it.

However, if you DON'T want to see the movie at least give the novel Push--which the movie is based off of--a go. It's really good.
