Dane Cook for Batman bad guy role?

In an interview with MTV, Comedian/actor Dane Cook says that he would be interested in playing The Riddler in the next Batman movie.

Dane says "If they brought back the Riddler - a new Riddler the way they did with the Joker that would be badass. I would do that... When they were making the new one and they were doing the Joker, I always thought it [should be] kind of like The Crow - having that dark element but still comedic... [My performance] would probably have to be something in that vein, even though I think what Heath Ledger did with the Joker was the greatest comic book villain ever."

    • He's popular Im assuming due to a lot of woman think he's hot. For some odd reason. I think he looks like a Axed up frat boy, who act's like the douche at a party. Not very funny and VERY overrated.
And VERY much doubt he'd get the roll. He has a one trick for his gimmick and that's to be retardedly funny, the Riddler his cleaver 'funny' if you can really even call him funny.

    • I don't think many Batman adventures will top the Dark Night, IMHO the Tim Burton ones come pretty damn close. But if they want to give up on trying to be close to the greatness of the previous movies, go with Cook. If they want to go more in the direction of The Dark Night, 89's Batman and Batman Returns, then they need someone other than Cook.

    • Who cares? Christian Bale sucks anyhow. Maggie Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger were the only reasons I actually saw that movie. I never watched the first. Hell, after Ledger's portrayal, Cook would actually have a goal to work towards.

    • Man, why does everybody hate this guy?
I mean, I do too. But how did he get to be so popular, that he only inspires hate and disgust from people.
Sorry Dane if you're reading this, but you suck as a comedian. You're overrated and really should stick to the small college frat shows you came from.
Is the media so desprate for a new funny guy they're settling on this and making him up?

    • I don't think Dane cook realizes that in order for him to land a role (and do well) in this new batman franchise he would have to be able to not act like himself, which I don't think he can do. Not that I doubt he could play crazy, but I think he would try to bring his stand up quirks into his role, especially if he was cast as something like the riddler.
