    • I never heard of the Academy releasing a short list to the press. Is this a first?

      Anyway, I'm not surprised Food Inc. made the cut (actually, that's the only film on the list I'm familiar w/). Tyson is easily one of the year's best films, but what about This Is It, The Unmistaken Child, Act of God, More Than a Game, Good Hair, The Carter, Paper Heart (kinda), & the ones you mentioned?

      & why vote now? One of the special things about the Oscars is that the noms are announced the following year, that way every film from the previous year is eligible - this is stupid.
