    • Great discussion of ANTICHRIST, and Gareth has one of the best interpretations of the fade out that I've heard so far. But, really, "It's a serious film. Don't see it?" Even if I don't like a film, if I feel the filmmaker's intent is sincere, I'll recommend people go and see it and decide for themselves. Doesn't happen often, but it happens. If you respect von Trier enough to feel his motives were uh... pure (doesn't seem like the right word in context, but let's go with it), shouldn't that be recommendation enough for people to check his film out.

BTW: Jett: If you've seen THE KINGDOM, you know that von Trier already pulled a quasi-William Castle by showing up at the end of each episode to tease the next. Huckster indeed.
