“Joe Versus the Volcano” has to surrender its longstanding front-runner position as the worst film of Meg Ryan’s career. Actually, there’s a school of thought that “The Women” already replaced “Joe” as Meg’s low point.
In any case, it makes no difference. No more phone calls. We have a winner. The spot now rightfully belongs to “Serious Moonlight,” a motion picture with the even more distressing distinction of being based on the last screenplay completed by the late actress/writer Adrienne Shelly.
filmsoundoff looking for critics. No pay. Little glory. What else could you ask for?

Yeah, Joe vs the Volcano is a movie I seem to watch every few years and it stays enjoyable each time.

How dare you bad mouth Joe vs the Volcano!! That is a great movie. Meg Ryan= meh. But there is no reason to bring Joe vs The Volcano into it. I just hope the Big Woo doesn't curse you with a brain cloud for your insolence. I'd go drink some orange soda just to be on the safe side if I were you.

I'd send a more reasoned response. But I have no orange soda in the house and need to run. Don't believe in teh Big Woo -- but why take chances.
