Actress Brittany Murphy was reportedly seriously ill before her death from an apparent heart attack on Sunday. There is growing speculation, however, that an eating disorder or possible drug use may have been a contributor to the young star's death.

She was a Type II diabetic and had taken an OTC flu med for S/S of the flu. Nausea and vomiting combined with OTC treatment can screw a diabetics electrolytes up BIG time. She should have been in the hospital for observation, blood sugar and fluid balance care if she had the flu. Our hearts are regulated by electrical impulses and an electrolyte problem is very dicey in diabetics. So those kind of drugs may have been the problem!
Hopefully a diabetic wouldn't fool around with illicit drugs!?!
