"The trailer for the upcoming remake of The Karate Kid has hit.
This is a film facing more than its share of obstacles. Having the audacity to not only remake this long-beloved classic, but also make the (generally fan-unfriendly) move of casting the 11 year-old son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, there's no doubt it has some major PR work ahead, working up to its June 11, 2010 release. In fact, many are still screaming in outrage about yet another "childhood rape" with the 1984 classic being hijacked, and also that due to its setting, it more accurately should have been named "The Kung-Fu Kid." (It was surely motivated in maintaining name recognition of the franchise.)..."
