One thing that every geek can do is quote their favorite geek-culture media, whether it’s movies, books, television, theater or music. The GeekDads have tried to compile a list of such quotes for your enjoyment. This list is certainly not definitive. Indeed, it’s only the beginning! Feel free to add your own (clean) ones in the comments below.

#52 “Would you say I have a plethora of piñatas?” - El Guapo, ¡Three Amigos!

    • Great list! I'm kinda surprised I knew most of them. The last line of TNG still gives me chills. My speech teacher in college made me memorize # 22 and recite in infront of the class.
May I suggest "Hans, boobie, I'm your white Knight!" -Willis, Die Hard
or "I aim to misbehave" Mal Reynolds - Serenity
or "I want my two dollars!" -paper boy, Better off Dead.
Ok, that's all, but now, a side note....The Firefly song is now stuck in my head...

Actually that is a misquote of a quote since Oppenheimer is quoting from the 1944 Vivekananda - Isherwood translation of Bhagavad Gita. This is a line spoken by Krishna, who is revered in Hindu traditions as one of the major incarnations of Vishnu; some assert that the passage would be better translated "I am become Time, the destroyer of worlds."

What Oppenheimer said in full was "We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." I suppose we all thought that, one way or another."

It is what every geek should know to have a more accurate understanding of the meaning in the proper context.
