    • Jon, your the best.....China, Cuba, Venezuela are first world nations. Love it, and just what do you base this on. China's constant violations of basic human rights, Venezuela's fascist, military regime.....or Communist Cuba's last dying breath to try and enter the world stage? True, whatever their motives they helping people. It is a shame the U.S Government is taking so long to respond. I don't understand the delay (maybe because Haiti has no oil?)......but, what exactly should the Government do....send money, medical and building supplies? Maybe said the Army Corp of Engineers. Just make sure the Marines accompany them for protections. The gangs there are more like para-military groups then your average street gang. Also, am I a racist, conservative, war monger because I am tired of America being the World's big brother.......What's up with the UN, time for them to step up!

    • Too bad the U.S. government STILL hasn't responded. How many days does it take? Lets see Katrina was three. This is out of country. Should be about a week.

Meanwhile China, Cuba, and Venezuela have already arrived with aid. But then, those are first world nations.

    • Imagine that, Brad, a self-proclaimed agnostic doing good deeds just because he can & because, to him, it's the right thing to do. So, you CAN be good without God. Offtopic, I know, but I have to give props when I hear of atheists/non-believers doing good things. Eventually, maybe these efforts will change the minds of believers who still think atheists worship Satan.

Having said that, $1million is great, but merely a drop in their bucket, I'm sure. It's not over, who knows they may feel the need to give more. They do have several children (I lost count) to raise. It's certainly more than anything I could EVER do, so I'm not taking issue. Awesome move from both of them!

    • typical of them, but it's a good typical!!!

i don't get why some people are annoyed by them, they actually are both great actors, and they actually do good shit for the world because they want to.

You probably were told different by some moron bias religion based preacher but, God blesses who he chooses, and atheist are not exempt. Why should they be ? Just because someone doesn't believe in God doesn't mean that God does not believe in them.

God is not a narrow minded entity. That's why he,(she) or it is called the omnipotent and all mighty.

please. doesn't arguing seem stupid when the topic you're arguing about is fellow human beings who lost everything in Haiti...? I'm thankful for any amount that anyone gives to help another human out.

obviously, you both care about this topic - which is why you've read and responded. let's argue about something else.

The Vatican is to busy blaming "Avatar" for it's nature based faith system and causing depression and suicidal thoughts among a certain number of people who have become obsessed with the wonderful, amazing and beautiful world of Pandora!
