Shutter Island is a really polarizing movie. I think it is good, but could have been better.

"Shutter Island" - Destined to be the most love-it-or-hate-it movie of 2010. I loved it. And by the way...It doesn't get the respect of Scorsese's other movies, but "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" is outstanding. So much better than that dopey sitcom it inspired.

Ghost Writer was better than Ghost Rider, at least..

Shutter Island.

Not Scorsese's best, not DiCaprio's best, not the best idea to see at midnight.

Happy Tears : going for the ''dissimilar siblings learn to bond again'' character study, but most of what it does is piling quirky situations on top of one another... none of which are that funny to begin with. Solid performances and nice creative flashes keep it afloat, but could have been a lot sharper, especially coming from the guy whose last film was about vagina dentata.

Shutter Island: I want a lobotomy because I couldn't handle two and half hours of this character's life. I want go to my happy place!! Not a bad movie, but not Scorsese's best, we expect more from him.
