Mini Trailer Time: Harriet The Spy meets Blogging
Let the record stand that Disney officially wins this day, due to the trailer for an Internet spin on a classic children's book.
Harriet The Spy: Blog Wars is Harriet The Spy but with blogs instead of a notebook. While wrapping your mind around that, it's important to note how mind-bendingly awful this concept is: beloved children's book character Harriet (who was once played by Michelle Trachtenberg) has been altered to fit into modern trends. The entire premise involves Harriet, now in some sort of middle school class filled with high school kids, struggling to become the next "class blogger." Don't start asking questions just yet, because another angle involves Harriet literally stalking some teen actor to write blog entries about him for the class blog. Now let's go into some deeper questions:
- -Why are the kids in this class sectioned into those that wear uniforms (i.e. Marion, Harriet's rival) and those that don't (i.e. Harriet) ?
- -Why are the kids drinking Strawberry Daiquiris?
- -Why is that old woman so concerned about blogging?
- -WHY IS MARION'S BLOG ONLY TWO SENTENCES!?
