Tim Burton Making The Addams Family?

If I had to pick someone to do a remake of the Addams Family, I would pick Tim Burton and especially if it's going to be a stop-motion animation. And as much as I love the actors in his films (Johnny Deep, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman), I would really like to see/hear someone else for a change.

Even tho he does need to "pursue his own visions" no doubt in my mind a Tim Burton remake of this movie will smash the box offices as usual.

he should do it in stop motion like the nightmare before Christmas. 3d can take you out of a film if its not done well... i thought the 3d could have been better in alice in wonderland so he should do it right or not at all.

Great Tim Burtton is basicly the goth jerry bruikheimer. Everything is gotta be 3-d. I remember when you used to be fun Tim, now you're just a cash cow.

I'm mixed about this, It would be awsome to see another thing of Burtons work, but why doesn't he make another one of his OWN creations? Instead of remaking old ones...

Hey,........its the Adams Family,....this isn't Hamlet to begin with. All it requires is artistic "mood". I'm sure he can manage to pull it off as well as the series or the previous movies.

It will be Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp again, people will call it "dark" and in reality it will probably be terrible.
