Sources tell us the actor, who once donned superhero garb in two "Fantastic Four" movies, has been offered the role of Captain America.
Marvel has not confirmed the development and CAA, which reps the actor, declined to comment.
Evans' offer would include starring in up to three "America" movies plus "The Avengers" movies and appearances in several other Marvel movies. While an offer to star in "America" may seem like something you don't have to mull over too long, one possible complication is that Evans is committed to co-starring in the Anna Faris romantic comedy "What's Your Number?" Both are scheduled to shoot this summer.

There is a difference between the type of personality you can imagine SENDING into battle,....from one you can actually imagine FOLLOWING into machine gun fire,...or ANY field of battle. Evans is an ok "Torch",..............but I just don't see it.

disney is gonna blow this if they are not careful this is not a good call this guy made the human torch into a total dueche opposed from a likeable dueche why does this guy get a chance to ruin another franchise they should go with an unknown someone willing and able to tranform his body from whimpey with a lame leg- cause thats what he'd have to be before the super soldier serum- to basically supper soldier and thats just like the first ten minutes of captian americas story. hold on true bolievers looks like were gonna be taken for another ride and lube up cause it looks like this could get rough
