Zoe Saldana has been on the nerds’ radar ever since she played the iconic Nyuta Uhura in last year’s Star Trek. She followed up that role by starring in the world’s biggest movie of all time, Avatar. I thought her acting in Avatar deserved an Oscar nomination. Her cat like mannerisms combined with her human emotions really brought the character to life. But I guess the Oscars’ doesn’t reward actors who are motion captured. Maybe when they make a sequel, she’ll get nominated then!
