The most frightening thing about all of this is what the Attorney director of the Food Safety institute in Washington says, that the genetically modified organisms cannot coexist with nature and not fundamentally destroy nature, pollute nature, and eventually affect everything else in the food chain. These GMOs cannot coexist with nature because they destroy nature.
What kind of world will our children inherit if these practices are allowed to continue?
Another very telling statement that is made by this Attorney is that the MNC's who create the GMOs have no interest in changing the factory farming process, they want to alter nature to conform to their factory process.
And the extremely sad thing is that all of this is being done for profit. They don't really care about food safety, they care about greater yield, greater profits and increased indentured servitude by independent producers.
I was also shocked to see in such a clear manner the visual evidence of how the GMO's slowly cross from their domain onto a neighboring domain that has already been certified organic. Its criminal that even what we ultimately hope to be safe is threatened by invasion of the GMOs without even intending for the invasion to happen. There is no way to protect your organic domain from invasion of these GMOs that is completely tragic and will have lasting consequences.

Yes, which is why as Andrew Kimbrell pointed out in this, calling themselves part of "Life Sciences" is a gross misrepresentation. How else can they make a profit and corner the market besides controlling us unless they destroy everything else leaving only their products? This is beyond evil and I truly hope more people start seeing this. More are, but we need to continue to boycott all of this as best we can and continue to pummel government. The logical question here is, if these salmon and seeds are sterile, just what becomes of those who eat it over time not knowing this? This is why scientists are starting to test this regarding sterility in humans because of eating these "suicide" organisms over time. I do believe that humans are already feeling the effects of this irresponsible technology in an increase in allergies and diabetes besides digestive diseases (notice all of the digestive tract "yogurts" on the market now and that practically everyone you know is on Nexium) and obesity due to pesticides, but these companies can disavow responsibility as the symptoms they are manifesting can be attributed to so many other factors.

This is precisely why I posted the whole experience I had with BIRM. I just got back from Ecuador and brought back a large supply of bottles. Dr. Cevallos already had figured out that he needed to change his marketing strategy and stop trying to battle the Big Pharmaceutical monopolies on the production of pharmaceutical drugs. He changed the packaging and pulled it from all the pharmacies. The product is not sold exclusively at health food stores as a natural supplement. I have given away several bottles to friends with serious health problems and they have now been taking the tincture for two weeks. They are now asking for more and I am going to see if I can go down there again, perhaps in September.
I found out that I can bring back quite a number of bottles and that there are no restrictions crossing through customs and the USDA inspection. They didn't bat an eyelash and I declared everything that I was bringing including three delicious types of corn...not available here. One is really delicious toasted with a little bacon fat and chopped red onions...somewhat like a cross between popcorn and corn nuts...another corn I brought back is used to make a really delicious fruit and creamy corn concoction called "Colada Morada" or purple corn starch drink with black raspberries, pineapple, peaches, papaya, blueberries and various other fruits and extracts...its really delicious to make...the third corn I brought back is giant hominy...you soak them in water for two days and then boil them for 5 hours...they grow three times their size and they are quite delicious with fried pork with bacon and chopped tomatoes, onions and cilantro...I just love their organic corn products they have in Ecuador.

I guess my point is that we need to be proactive about what we eat, what we seek out, and realize that there are many natural solutions to our health problems that are caused by eating American foods. I just don't trust foods anymore that are already prepared and really...no restaurant compares to the meals we cook at home using all natural organic ingredients. Every week we go shopping for fresh greens of all kinds at the local farmers markets and I finally have gotten my nieces and nephews to really love the greens when I cook them. I use Asian spices and light steaming to make them very palatable adding cheeses and hazelnuts to add crunch and textures. We have also started using fruits and berries in our mixed green salads which has led to an overall increase in consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables by the kids. It really pleases me to no end to see them change their eating habits from eating Little Ceasers pizzas and Coca Cola everyday to eating good healthy food.

You can call on the Obama FDA to not approve this monstrosity of nature.
Stand up for your food. Stand up for nature.
________
From link:Obama's F.D.A. is using a secret process designed to review veterinary drugs to rule on what could be the first genetically engineered animal to enter the food supply, genetically engineered salmon.
The confidential drug evaluation process does not fully assess food safety or environmental impacts and blocks public input. The public will never see, let alone have the opportunity to rebut, the information AquaBounty Technologies, the developer of the genetically engineered salmon, submits to the F.D.A. And, the F.D.A. is not conducting or soliciting independent research to determine whether the salmon is safe to eat or release into the environment.
Public opinion surveys show that Americans are even more wary about genetically engineered animals than about the genetically engineered crops now used in a huge number of foods.
The government doesn't require genetically engineered foods to be labeled. Foods must be labeled, it says, only if they are different in their nutritional properties or other characteristics. AquaBounty is trying to make the case to the F.D.A. that its salmon is indistinguishable from normal Atlantic salmon in terms of taste, color, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, proteins and other nutrients.
But, AquaBounty's franken-salmon is clearly different from normal salmon. It has been engineered to grow twice as fast, reaching its full size in 18 months.
Since the information the F.D.A. is collecting on AquaBounty's salmon is considered proprietary, the public isn't being told how the genetically engineered animal would be produced or what impact the trangenic salmon could have on human health and the environment. Here are a few unknowns:
1. How does AquaBounty get the foreign DNA into its franken-salmon? One way to do this is to use viruses to "infect" cells with the new DNA. If a virus is used as a vector, a cancer risk is created.
2. Does AquaBounty's franken-salmon contain novel proteins or other molecules produced by the transgenic organisms that could trigger allergies? Allergic reactions, a known risk of genetically engineered foods, can result in serious trauma, even death.3. When people eat AquaBounty's franken-salmon, will the transgenic DNA be incorporated into the genomes of the bacteria in the human digestive tract? A human study conducted by the UK's Food Standards Agency found that a single serving of genetically engineered soy can result in "horizontal gene transfer," where the bacteria of the gut takes up the modified DNA from the soy.
4. What are the human health impacts of producing food from salmon that are deformed by genetically engineered growth hormones? According to an expert panel from the Royal Society of Canada, scientists have documented "deleterious consequences to fish morphology, respiratory capacity, and locomotion associated with the introduction of growth hormone (GH) gene constructs in some transgenic variants of salmonids, notably Pacific and Atlantic salmon." The panel concluded that this "is the rule rather than the exception in fish ... [and] has been manifested by changes to enzyme activity, gross anatomy, behaviour and, in all likelihood, hormonal activity." The human health impacts of producing food from salmon that are deformed by genetically engineered growth hormones is unknown.

JanforGore:
That's great. I do the same. There is a local farmer I go to weekly to get all of my fruits and vegetables and they are always good. But even though it is organic I wash it very well because of what is blowing around in the breeze. I find myself eating more and more salads, no meat (and I don't miss it) and have reduced my intake of dairy to a bare minimum and avoid high fructose corn syrup and sodas at all costs. My local market which I actually think I harassed into doing it, ;-) now has an organic aisle in their store and I shop there for cereal and other foods. I have even noticed some name brands coming out with breads and other products without HFC in them, so I think the message is starting to get across and that we as consumers are having an effect on what is put on the market more then we did. But there is much work left to be done. My son also has gotten away from processed foods and more into salads and that makes me happy as well. I tell him that starting this now will bring him a healthier life and a path he can then lead his own children on.

Conclusion:
Tour of Dr. Vandana Shiva's organization Navdanya's seed bank, and conclusion.
This is truly the environmental, economic, and social fight of the 21st century, especially with climate change, water scarcity, and population increases. We simply cannot afford to live in a monoculture world for profit. We are banking on a technology that is dangerous, unstable, and unnecessary to solve problems that until now it has not solved, when natural methods have already been shown to be more successful.
THIS MUST BE STOPPED.
Please pass this on.

Part 4:
Interview with Andrew Kimbrell, Center for Food Safety, and showing the effects of genetic manipulation in pigs and salmon. The GM salmon is also not being properly regulated, with tests being done by the company only and kept confidential. The excuse once again for doing this is to "feed people" but we know the real score here.
The deformities shown and discussed regarding pigs and salmon can be called nothing else but animal cruelty. This is what greed has brought us in allowing companies to freely manipulate natural systems to conform to their irresponsible technology.
