Inception: First sure Oscar nominee of 2010

“Inception” is easily the best film of the year. It is technologically magnificent, rivaling “Avatar” -- at times surpassing it in cinematic magic. In fact, “Inception” is worth seeing for the brilliance of its execution alone.
Note, however, it is also intellectually satisfying in a scifi/buddies movie/heist thriller way. There’s nothing illogical that takes you out of the moment -- at least, once you buy into the film’s conceit. Yes, it is occasionally confusing, but it all eventually makes sense.
For me, it wasn’t until the morning after I saw it that the pieces all finally fit together. And, yes, part of what makes “Inception” unique is that it stays with you in the way only a great film can. Read entire review/
