----Warner Brothers has released the first four official posters for Green Lantern, which look a hell of a lot better than the EW scans. This is also the first look at Sinestro (Mark Strong) and Hector Hammond (Peter Saaaarsgaaaard). Which is really just an excuse to post the two videos below, taken at the San Diego Comic-Con. An adorable little Green Lantern fan (who hopefully steered clear of the free candy) asked Ryan Reynolds, “What does it feel like to say the Green Lantern oath.” Reynolds answered “Like warm apple pie, man” by delivering the oath on the spot, and I instinctively threw a bra at the screen. I wasn’t wearing one, but I found one anyway. He’s that good.

GREEN LANTERN MOVIE LOOKS…KINDA LATE ’90S
Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited for a “Green Lantern” movie, especially since that stupid idea of turning it into Jack Black’s version of “The Mask” went by the boards. But these photos…eh, most of them don’t do it for me. Which I grant is stupid since they’re either stills that have been cut down or are promotional photos. But I’m a nerd, we’re all nerds here, so let’s nerd out with our bagged and boarded complete run of “Emerald Twilight” out.
The mask on the costume looks like facepaint, and the hair is decidedly NOT Hal Jordan, although to be fair to any movie costume, we actually need to see it moving before we can decide whether or not it looks stupid. Granted, Angela Bassett as Amanda Waller gives me a huge nerd boner (can we have a “Suicide Squad” movie, Warners? Pretty, pretty please?), but even just from a promotional photo, you can tell Blake Lively is gonna suck as Carol Ferris. “Lively?” Who named her “Lively?” Even Megan Fox can communicate something in still photos beyond “I can has cheeseburger?”, and the idea of this waif playing Star Sapphire makes me cringe. What really stings is she was picked from a list that included Eva Green, Keri Russell, Diane Kruger, and Jennifer Garner. True, this movie probably will only feature Carol Ferris in a girlfriend/hostage role, but still, one has to plan ahead with these things.
