“The Tillman Story” is a forceful reminder that we cannot accept hook, line and sinker the stories spun on the evening news. We need be wary, too, of the statements uttered by high-ranking military officers and elected officials. A chest full of extravagant insignias and ribbons might suggest valor, but hardly serves as a guarantee of trustworthiness.
